ATMOS in the Payload Bay In this view, ATMOS is on the left side of the payload bay, just behind the black sphere that is furthest back. It is protected from the hazards of the space environment by a Multi-layer Insulation blanket and views the sun over the edge of the bay as it rises or sets behind the earth.
