Michael Volk and colleagues, University of Frankfurt, conducting pre-flight tests on their instrument that measures long lived tracers of atmospheric motion using gas chromatography. The instrument sits inside the wheel well, and is loaded using straps, pulleys, and muscle. Data from this instrument allows scientists to understand how ozone is affected by both chemistry and air motions.
