Hans Schlager and Anke Roiger, German Institute for Physics of the Atmosphere, conducting pre-flight tests on their instrument that measures particulate and gas phase NOy (total nitrogen oxides) using catalytic reduction/chemiluminescence. Data from this instrument provides information on the size and composition of polar stratospheric cloud particles.
